WTB 71 2 bbl carb for Buick 350 Hoping to find one that was on a running engine. Trying to help a local guy get his 71 LeSabre running better. Thanks Ted
Hey Ted, I've got a 2 barrel that came off of a 70, or 71, running engine. $25 dollars plus shipping. I'll do my best to try and get it out of the attic to take pictures for you today. Problem is it's been storming like crazy down here for the last 4 days. (35 to 45 MPH winds and rain) I have to open the garage door and push my Buick backwards a couple feet to access the attic stairs. Sunday is supposed to be beautiful if I can't do it today.
Will do Ted. Hopefully the winds will change from the east, right at my garage door, to the west as this storm approaches later today and then I can open the garage door. Side note... Bummer deal that you didn't ask for this a week ago. My brother in-law was here from Cincinatti and he could have brought it back home. I'll give you an update later today.
It just might be tomorrow before I can get up in the attic Ted. As you can see it is pouring here with gusts up to 38 mph. Definitely not opening the garage door.
Ted, I have a 2 barrel carb that came off a 70 that you can have if the one John has doesn't work out. Larry
Dang Larry, You ruined my Christmas present! I'm joking, I'm joking!!! I had already decided to let Ted have it for free, but he still would've had to pay shipping. If you two can work something out that is fine by me. You two could meet half way and maybe Ted would buy you a Skyline chilli dog, or some White Castles, but they'd better be greasy. (Old restaurant) I'm serious... Absolutely NO offence. I know this is fancy texting, and you might think I'm taking offence, but if you were here and heard me say it, we'd all be laughing! Let me know Ted. Sounds like an easier plan to me. PS... A very merry Christmas to both of you and your families!!! Hope I get to meet you two at BG, or Beaver Springs, or someplace. John
John, No offense taken. Was just offering an option if yours didn't work out. I've been holding onto this carb for years. Just couldn't bring myself to throw it away. Thanks, Larry
Ted, I’ve got some pictures coming your way. I am no expert on Rochester two barrel carburetor. This came off of a buddies car that’s on this forum. I believe his name is Ryan from over on the west coast of Florida. He had a 1970 Buick Skylark with a 350. The little bit of research I did it seems like according to the tag that should be a 1968 carburetor. I could be totally wrong. Anyhow here are some pictures
If Larry’s carburetor is better, or the correct year that you’re looking for that’s fine by me. I had to go up in the attic to get Christmas stuff out anyway.
