Looking for a functioning or rebuildable master cylinder. Needs to be for a power drum system. TIA

How soon do you need it? I have the original one on one of my 70 GS455 cars that I will be converting.

It is going on a completed car for a show in November…so as soon as possible?

I don’t think this is the one you are looking for. This car had a booster originally, but I never found a Delco stamp on it,so I pitched it. This master looks correct for some 72’s.

ah..yeah that's not the one I'm looking for. It's smaller, and not the "fat" type that you see on most of the restored 70's.

You need the skinny oval one.

This is the master cylinder Adam is looking for. Power drum brakes.

I can look at the '70 power drum Skylarks I have here. Two of 'em run/drive and most importantly, still stop but if all else fails. Can't remember if the 3rd one still has a M/C but if so...

I assume Manual drum is also different?

I have a manual drum car here...two actually...and neither of them have bleeders...but I don't know if they are the same physically or not.

I know they look similar if not identical - I definitely have one w/bleeders off a manual drum car. It's for my car but as long as it got replaced at some point I won't be needing it for awhile (unfortunately).

Le me look again on these masters from the manual cars, but I have to imagine they're different somehow.

Maybe you can buy one of these and have bleeders added ... The bosses for the bleeders are cast into the unit.

Lemme check the power drum cars I have before you spend any time on that Adam.

Can you imagine how many of these we scrapped back in the day?

Manual drum master cylinders came without the bosses for bleeders.

And those masters are the only ones available "new" even for power drums.

The picture Adam posted - of the part he wants has bleeders. If not than repros are available
