Hey guys, looking to buy a 70-72 Skylark or GS convertible. Don't want a trailer queen, but would definately like more than a basic "driver". Exterior color not a real issue, but would definately prefer black interior (at minimum a black dash/carpet combo). Originality also not a huge concern, unless were talking big GS money but its non numbers matching, know what I mean?

    Thanks!

I have a 72 Skylark org. w/black bench seat interior. 455 motor, rebuilt th350 tranny w/fairbanks shift kit, 650 holley, 4 core radiator, 2 1/2 flowmaster exhaust, 3:90 posi rear end. Hei conversion new cap rotor wires and plugs, new water pump and altenator. The motor has a small main bearing knock on first start up. The lowers on both fenders are rotted away dew to leaves and dirt lying in them over the years. I do have a driverside fender that will go with the car. The quaters aren't perfect on the lower sections of them, but they are repairible. The car is born and raised in Wisconsin up till last year when it was moved to Ohio It has 85,266 miles on it. I will take $2800 for it.

Let me know if this might be something up your alley!

    Thanx Mike

Oriiginal engine, 100K, does not need rebuild or work, Fairbanks trans. years ago, A/C, bench seat, original rear, Rallies, P/S, Power drums, all just redone. No rot or rust, body, floors or trunk. Has owned for 20+ years. Always garaged winters in heated garage. Battery removed while sitting for winter.

yeah its a 4 door but when it comes to rust. this car has been taken care of and probably will be the cleanest non rusted skylark you will find. Has 89k original miles, 350-4 with rebuilt q-jet 4bbl,Edelbrock air cleaner, Hei Ignition, new plus, wires, cap. Motor was went through and i replaced the rod and mains. still have the old mains. i replaced them for safety. they were in great shape. I am installing 1 5/8 X 3 inch headers with dual 3 inch exhaust, Flowmaster 40 series. New carpet. Bucket seats, Rallye Rims,New sway bar bushing and a arm bushings. Monroe Shocks, New coil springs. Motor runs beautiful, tranny shifts silky smooth. Great car overall.

A few corrections from Tom's Email. I've owned the car since 1990. It has 104K miles. There is some surface rust in the trunk. Options - Power Drum Brakes, A/C, Speed alert, Tach - does not work, aftermarket AM/FM cassette deck, but I do have an original Buick AM radio. I also have a brand new pair of the ram air foam seals. I've attached 5 pictures. I have more pictures with better quality available. Tom has maintained the car since around 1994 - oil changes, filters, lube.
