As far as I know, It is JW @ Tri Shield Performance that give us this forum. yeah, I'm going with Ames for the cross member and mount. still looking for the brackets and Isolaters. I may need to get those from TPP if no one else has them. I am still looking for the frame mounts. I will probably end up fabricating those. my transmission (4L80E) will be ready for pick up wed. or thurs. JW is shipping my torque converter Mon. or Tues. I have the SFI flex plate and the trans adapter plate. I knew this day was coming. Hope I can get her all in next weekend.
Ames has the brackets and isolators. Part # R157W for the repop isolators $16 for a pair and part #R158 for the gm isolators $35. Part # R158A for stainless brackets and R158AB for the steel brackets. Both $29 per pair. Also part #R158AD for the hardware $3.50. What frame mounts do you need? I thought you had a GS frame already? FYI. Just saw this as I was browsing Ames site. They show a conversion crossmember for your 4L80E. Hi Nick, Wally said I can pick up the trans on Wednesday. I need to mount the cross member back six inches. Where the hell you been? call me sometime. That's great info peter. Thank you. I do have the GS boxed frame. I don't want to cut the factory mounts off so I thought I would just add a set six inches back. I saw the 4l80e conversion mount. It says for hard top so I will call this morning but I believe it's the 55 inch not the 44. thanks again for the info
