Troy, I have several 65 Skylark emblems, but they all have the 4 flat posts. I looked at a skylark trunk I have and it has the flat openings. I don't know why they would have used two types of emblems. Where was your car built?
just trim the blade,a small grinder or dremmel tool and some time they still work..but the rest of the blades need a little work too....take your time..check and double check, a little bit at a time..i did a set for a friend...
Can't trim the blade, there is a big round hole in the trunk and some are clocked wrong. Apparently the month of year denotes the style. Thank you for the link, buying now.
Apparently, the TABS on your emblem were busted off at one time and sure looks like thumbiddy epoxied them on wrong . . .. thats my take by looking at the pix. . . . Wheelz, Tampa Bay
FWIW, . . I have a near PERFECT, rustfree 65 Skylark trunk lid with the correct holes for the correct emblem... Wheelz, Tampa Bay
