not a 65 but have a friends 67 gs sitting in my shed . georgia car - but - it needs EVERYTHING . he let his buddy drive it up here and his "car guru builder" ( drunk stoner car abuser ) was supposed to "restore" it for him . so it sat outside in this guys dooryard for about 10 years with the windows rolled down about 3 inches ? i had to rip the carpet to remove floor plugs to drain about an inch of water out . the interior is toast . the paint looks maybe original but faded to oblivion . a few dings and the usual bottom front fender quarter size rust problem area . couple other usual little rust area's along the bottom , should really come off the frame to redo everything properly . BUT - when on my trailer i looked under it and it looked kinda solid . i think the original down south time really helped it out . i put a few pics up a couple of years ago and a few guys asked some questions about it . and from memory : non original 430 in it , have not heard it run , trans ? rear ? cracked windshield bench seat - column shift , needs COMPLETE interior redo chrome is a little faded/little rusty trunk button (?) in glove box steel wheels and gs hub caps ( put caps in trunk ) , tires hold air ( sorta ) the owner i have not seen too much lately and would have to recontact . before when someone looked at it i kinda thought maybe 2K would have bought it but not real sure ? and there is my 65 - but no basket case . the only reason to sell that would be to start a nailhead streetrod - maybe . del
mike : thats nice lookin . sounds solid too . good deal for someone . that body style , 300 4bbl motor plus 4 speed = fun well balanced car . del
