Hi everyone. I'm looking for a decent , solid, 1954 Special or Century 2 door no post hardtop. No project cars , must be a driver. Prefer an original condition car that requires some TLC or a light cosmetic restoration. You know the condition , drive and restore as I go. Car should have a clear title. I know that most users on this site are fond of 60s - 70s Buicks ( I like them too ) but I'm hoping someone out there will have something or know of some one who has a 1954 that they may part with. Thanks & Cheers. Ken. :TU:
Hi Ken Are you still looking ? I just found these two while sufring the net, sorry I dont know the dealer or the cars, but they look to be good projectcars !? http://www.roykeithclassics.com/Classics_for_Sale.html good luck
Thanks. Yes, I'm still looking. Had a quick look at the website. The red one is too far gone for me and probably not worth his asking price. But the other one could be worthy of further investigation. Cheers. Ken.
The seller sent me additional pictures of the grey one. It looks no better than the red car. Oh well , I will keep looking. Ken. :ball:
Ken. . WHEN you do find that elusive 54 or MAYBE 53??? I have a lead on a 53 Buick Eight. . .4 door. . .rusty rusty rusty. HOWEVER..its 100% complete. .AND get this. . it has ALL THE ORIGINAL COMPONENTS for the COMPLETE FACTORY A/C SYSTEM intact! Vents. Grilles. HUGE condensor in the trunk, dash switches, clear rear window tubes, original knobs and identification plates, hoses, etc... COMPLETE. THE a/c system, the stainless trim, and maybe a few other stuffs are about the only parts of this car worth saving... He has NOT given me a selling price yet, but I have pix of this car if you'll send me your email address. Yeahh, FACTORY a/c... in 53!!! wow. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Thanks Wheelz, but it HAS to be a ' 54 I'm afraid. There will be someone wanting that car just for the A/C. Tampa Bay is in Florida , right ? There is a red ' 54 for sale on Ebay right now in Largo. Is that far from you ? Cheers, Ken.
I would like to take the opportunity via this forum to say thanks a lot to member WHEELZ of Tampa Bay Florida for his time and efforts to go and take a look at a 1954 Buick that I was interested in. :kodak: It was much appreciated seeing as I'm about 10,000 miles away. :beer A bit hard for me to go and take a look !! So, thanks Mate :TU: It was not the car I'm after , so still looking. Ken. ray:
I appreciate the Kudos Ken! I'd do it again if you needed! AND for anyone else for that matter. THAT is what separates us from the others collectors. Buick Guys rule! :beer Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Ken, there's one a half mile from me in Ohio. It's a two door sedan, no motor or transmission. Other than that, it's just what you are looking for! I too like those cute little bumps on the rear quarters. I've seen some sharp looking 54 2 door HTs.
Thanks anyway Roger , but I need a car that's a goer. Not only so I can drive it straight away , but shipping also comes into it. I know of a Buick owner locally who was charged $500 extra to load in US and $500 to unload in Aussie all because the car did not drive and they slugged him big time I see that a ' 54 has popped up for sale on this site. I have been in touch with Brian and would be in the same predicament with his car. Cheers, Ken.
