    Finally put the 455 in the 72 Skylark,76 block,bored 30 over,forged high comp. pistons,crane cam 276-284,72 heads,double roller timing chain,ATI balancer,booster plate for oil pump,B4B intake,800 edelbrock with a one in. spacer and K&N open top air filter,2.5 in. mandrel bent stainless exhuast with flowmaster fourties. Talk about fast with class! Oh, I kept the Skylark 350 emblem on the rear quarters:Brow: Luis

    what did you do about hood clearance?

    John, a B4B with a 1" spacer should be no problem with a drop base air cleaner. My SP1 (1 3/4" taller than stock) fits with a drop base.

    Actually I had to trim a half of an in. off where the hood and the air breather meet, probably because of the B4B intake sitting the carb a little more forward then the performer intake, not even noticable and no rubbing even w
