This would have to be the 'Holy Grail' of '71 GS Stage 1 carbs!!! :TU: I've seen my share of rare or just plain cool parts, but....can't say I've ever seen anything quite like this carb!! New in the box, never even been taken out of its original shrink wrapping!!:jd: This thing must have been kept in a time capsule or something!! Doesn't get much more original or in perfect condition than that!!!:beer :bglasses: Price probably won't be for the 'faint of heart'.:Brow: Of course...how could you expect something in this condition to be inexpensive??:Smarty: :TU: **What a dummy....almost forgot the link!!ou: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2460327557
Scott, At least we know the most someone would spend with that "Buy it Now" option, right? :eek2: That is pretty cool though, I have to admit....
It is a nice carb! But being a service replacement, the date code and lack of the two letter ID code make it somewhat less desireable than a good factory installed original IMHO. :bglasses:
I agree the date code is 2386 which is the 238 day of 1976. So, I "think":Brow: $1500 is a lil high?????:moonu: I bet the guy paid $50 for it from the dealer.
Sold to the gentleman with $1100.:Brow: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2460327557
