And I quote: "There are indicators under the hood showing 455 CU IN Stage 1. I also have a picture of where the engine is marked 350. This marking is on the right back section of the engine. You have the remove the air cleaner in order to see it. (see pics)"

And the pic in question is of a big old 350 marked on the back of the engine. But don't worry, there are indicators that it really is a 455! Don't worry stickers don't lie! All this for a low low $25,000!

I went to look at this car on a whim just to check it out. It's located 15 minutes from my house and 5 from my old high school. It's a 72 350. Guy bought it at an estate sale. It was originally listed on eBay as a 72 455 car at 25,000, then it was revised to a 350 at 10,000. The car actually isn't that bad, the people that own it just don't know what it is/worth... In my opinion it's like a 4500-5000 car. Has some rust in the doors. No idea if it's an original n-25 or not

The Bozo doesn't foresee the lawsuit that could happen if an uneducated buyer bought it then someone 'enlightens' them. Car may have had a Stage1 at one time, but it's long gone. Or the top radiator support was swapped.

At least the radiator support COULD be valuable...Notice that it is an ORIGINAL 1970 Stage 1 emission sticker!!! (???)

I personally get a kick out of these ads. To each their own....There is a butt for every seat. I don't think half of the sellers or buyers have a clue at what they are looking at. I know when I need beef I go to my cousins farm, but not everyone learns the easy way. It would be nice to see cars listed as the projects that they are, but we can still be entertained by the beauty through the eyes of the beholder.

I like the Henry Ford Quote, but obviously a GTX would have had the ultra rare Radiator that said "use only Chrysler Anti-freeze" . Apparently if you put in non Chrysler anti-freeze it configures into a Buick. Who knew?

They put that 350 on the motor to throw people off. That way when you take it to the track everyone thinks you have a 350 and not a 455. Its ingenious! :Dou:

What manufacturing plant was "G"? Were stage 1's built in 72 anywhere else but Flint?

G is Framingham. And that only holds true for 70

    G.....Framingham

They did build '71 & '72 Stage 1 cars there, same as Fremont did.
