Question for you guys... I have a nice little 464 set up in my 66. I'm having either an ignition issue, or a fuel delivery issue.

About half the time under 3/4-WOT the car bogs/misfires, regardles of what gear I'm in. Other times, it pulls like the freight train it is.

I run a Stage 1 Fuel Pump thru the small factory lines, with the return plugged. I have an out of the box SpeedDemon 750 that I've never played with. And I do have clean, unblocked lines with a clean fuel filter.

As for ignition, I run a latemodel factory GM HEI with a curve kit. Ignition is set around 16* initial, and 34* total (if memory serves). I run 8.8 wires & AC Delco R45TS plugs.

I've never had an issue up until now, and EVERYTHING is fresh as of December/January. The motor has spun north of 6,000 without fuel delivery issue before, but I shift it at 56-5900rpm.

The charging system is up to snuff with a new battery, alternator & voltage regulator (within the past month).

Anyone have any thoughts on the random breaking up? What should I check? I did already verify the timing was still dead on, and I do run some goooood gas in it ;) I also changed the plugs, even though they looked really good.

Oooh, George.. .never thought of that. Its something to look into, but since the car ONLY has the issue when under load and not when in neutral/park I would assume it not be the line itself. :Do No:

Yanked the carb, threw a friend's Mighty 850 Demon... boom! No hesitation or backfiring issues and at LEAST 15 more horse LMFAO

...thats what I get for running an undersized Speed 750 Demon :moonu:
