    Evening everyone,

First, I apologize for it being a long post. So there is an opportunity for me to buy some edlebrock aluminum heads. Here is the information or them:

"These fully Ported HARDCORE street/race Edelbrock Buick 455 we buy bare and use our own custom quality SI stainless 1 piece valves, finish the guides with the correct clearance and cut the seats on our Sunnen VGS20 head center, we then fully port intake and exhaust for maximum flow and then verify on a Superflow SF600 flow bench (every set of heads come with a flow & spec sheet),then they are surfaced and we then custom build them with correct springs and hardware to suit your cam specs, these are the best street/races heads for your $$$ gauranteed.

Flow Numbers are on a Superflow SF600 @ 28"(these flow numbers are from these actual heads NOT genaric numbers)
    lift In Ex
    .200 140/103
    .300 205/150
    .400 263/180
    .500 293/195
    .600 310/203
    .700 321/218

These heads with a Hyd Flat tappet cam will make 550HP@5600 and 600FT/IB@ 3800 and with a solid roller will make in excess of 650HP"

Price for these is $2595. Basically is it worth the money. I know that these are pretty close to price for the TA heads prior to any work done.

I currently have a complete 455 (and a spare block) that needs to be rebuilt due to possible cracked block. In the process of taking it out of the car. Any insight/help you guys have would be great and thanks for reading.

I got my TA Stage1SE heads from Greg Gessler. They are his level2 effort. They flow 313/225 @ .550 lift. About 150.00 more.

For the same price, you can get Stage2SE's I would have done that, but I already had MT headers.

Sounds like the level 2 Gessler package you can get with the Edelbrock heads which are cheaper then that from Gessler. I just ordered some from him and they will flow over 300cfm.

    FYI TA won't have any Stage 1 SE's for 3 months:shock:

This tells you most of what you need to know about Eddie heads. You just need to filter through all the BS.

If you are interested in Eddie heads I would talk to 3 people.

Greg Gessler has them in stock and gets nice flow numbers out of them with hand porting.

Bobb at Finishline Motorsports also has a lot experience with hand porting them and will give you numbers and prices depending on what you want. He gives you great after the sale service.

Scott Brown at Competition Components does full CNC porting with better flow numbers for the same price as the heads you are looking at. The CNC porting also comes with the chambers all CNC matched which is a nice plus for the same money. The full CNC port does require a few hours of port matching on the intake and 2" headers. Scott also gives you great after the sale service and I think Scott is giving $100 off right now with an Edelbrock rebate.
