We need repos!! I've bought from that seller a few times without any problems. Others have not been as fortunate.
It was originally BROWN then dyed BLACK. That made me NOT bid on it. I would rather have an old one recovered or 'rebuilt' for less money...
The one in the auction is a Type 1 with the tri-shield emblem. Type 1 went until mid 1970. From mid 1970 - up it is the type 2 with a push button lock. :TU:
Thanks. I have see a GSX with the type I, come to think of it. I do not know if the console was original or not ... since '70 GSX's were latter half of '70 model year cars. Of course, a change over in parts does not have to happen exactly at mid-year, probably when the supply ran out. I wish he would have left the console cover dark brown ... I'd own it then ...

Me too George. As far as Im concerned he ruined it. That paint job looks horrendous in the pic. It looks way thick and too shiny, like it was painted with engine enamel.

Well technically, its still NOS. If I take my NOS headlight bezels and run them over with the F-350, they'll still be NOS afterwards right? That console lid would be best used as a door stop or a wheel chock as far as im concerned now.
I would rather spend a little extra and get it redone right. That thing would look like crap in a car with a new interior.
