Well. My alternator was going out so i changed that. And in the process I broke the copper part of the starter.. So I replaced them both and now it won't start... Starter won't even click.. Any suggestions? Not that this matters but... 70' buick skylark 350 engine. 350 suprcharged trans. ...:blast:
It is very possible that the starter, which has two small connections on it besides the battery, was improperly connected. The lead from the ignition switch, for the start circuit, should go to the S terminal, and the other should go to the I terminal. It is intended to provide full battery voltage to the ignition during cranking. The other is self explanatory.
Yeah im aware of this.. And im 99.9% sure its connected correct.. Because i placed one in a certain place and also had one that was extrmely hard to get off... so eh.
It may be the selinoid (sp?). try tapping the selinoid softly with a hammer or handle of a screw driver. Happened to me on another car (camaro) after replacing starter and new battery.
I think its solenoid and idk. Im taking my ad up and hes always worked on it and fixed it.. IT'll probably be something really stupid
