I think it was just sucking too much air, so it had a bad mix. Since I capped the port the engine has started every time without hesitation. It has not cut out while driving either. I didn't do anything else and it's been good for a week now.

Ok, so I didn't fix it. After more than a month without any trouble the engine just dies while I'm at a red light. I try starting it a few times and nothing. So I push it to the side and start poking around under the hood. Everything seems fine? I try to start it again and it fires up. I drive straight home a park. With the engine still running I start messing with the wires, and as soon as I touch one of the harness bukhead connectors on the firewall the engine dies again. I disconnect the connector and whadayaknow, there's a broken pin on the ignition wire terminal. :Dou: So, I think that was the problem all along. I fixed it so it will work for now but I would like to find a new connector or at least some terminals like the ones inside it.

Now THAT sounds like you found the problem:TU: I had a similar problem with the wifes '94 Safari, bulkhead connector had a corroded hot lead, no power to the computer, found it by accident:eek2:
