Someone gave me a WIX oil filter that they said would work for my '62 Skylark V8 4BL and I can't seem to determine whether this is the right filter. #51049 is the product number. It seems hard to find filters for this engine as all of them reference the 215 V8 with a 2BL. Are the filters the same? And do any of you have part numbers for screw on filters that will fit the 215 V8 with 4 BL (the filter that is on there has no number on it and is a Parts Plus??). I haven't put enough miles on the car to change the oil and now that I've owned about a year I need to change the oil anyway.

If you go to Napa, it's the same as a wix with a NApa sticker. The Napa filter number will be #1049. -JOsh
