Got stuck in the left turn lane next to a nicely stickered and winged Acura or Honda or whatever. Turn arrow goes green and we both take off like calm, sensible men. Right after we get straightened out on 'Q' street, at about 35 mph, I hear his Fart Can start to expel its noxious noise. Well, owning an American vehicle, I had to try, right? As my brother can tell you, the 318 comes alive at around 3,000 rpm. At 35 mph, it drops ionto 1st gear and I am at 4500 rpm immediately. I blow his doors off through second and well into third and had to let off because I beat the light (red light at Millard avenue ou: ). He pulled up next to me and asked "Do you have a V-10 in that?" You guys should have seen the look on his face when I said "Nope, just a 318 with 85,000 miles." The best part! After I told him what he got beat by, I got to tell him "Nice stickers, though! Better luck next time. Try a Geo!" Kind of made the night at work go much better. Good to have something to laugh about. :laugh: :Brow: :laugh: :Brow:
