Wish I didn't know

I just hooked up my AutoMeter electric gauges. I had to fab a seperate block in order to keep both the idiot light and mount the gauge sending unit. Have 1200psi hose connecting from engine to mounting block, mounted on the fender apron. I know the hose is overkill, but it was free.

Fired up the car, no leaks (good) cold engine idle oil pressure was 25lbs.
Took a ride, warmed things up, and at 60mph oil pressure was about 37lbs.

    Buick service manual says 33lbs @ 2400rpm.

Engine has 109,000 on it, doesn't smoke, leak or make any weird noises.

Before I invest in another gauge to check out the electric sending unit for the gauge, what do you all think?

    Any input is appreciated.

To me the cold idle seems a little bit low. What is the pressure at a hot idle?

Mine runs at 15lb hot idle, 25/30 cold, 50/55 at 4,000 rpm or above.
