looking for a performance intake and 74 and earlier heads in wisonsin or really close. Wouldn't mind performance heads except I probally can't afford them , but maybe someone is desperate to get rid of them. Looking for other 455 parts as well, just don't need them.

If you are thinking that most aftermarket intakes like a performer or a B4 are going to boost you performance save your money for some alumnum heads.

I wanted to get a aftermarket intake to get rid of EGR. I just thought why not spend the little extra and get a performance one instead of used early year one.

    heads interchange rules!

The 400/430 and 70 455 use the low intake that requires intake of 67-71 intake manifold and gaskets, or aftermarket intake covers all 400/430/455 72 to 76 intakes must use 72-76 heads, to put a 72-76 head on early edition heads will cause major water leaks at heads gasket. 75-76 breath best of late 455 engines and have no heat tubes on sides that over heat 455s. Plug all intake head exhaust cross over for cooler engines, use 3/4 frost plugs or tap plugs. Plug egr with cover and with cross overs plugged runs good, use a mild cam and high rev lifters, dual row chain set, and good oil pump choice. The modifiers preffer 73 heads, for modify porting. blocks are best stock as a 75-6 as they opened oil galleys late but decompressed so use 72 -74 heads. Buy the book Guide to Buick performance by Dove, this will help alot. I am in Minneapolis, craig
