Can I just remove the wiring for the ac relay and the blower motor resistor in my 72 skylark without anything else affected? It is a race car only. No heat, no ac. Thanks, Brad.

make sure you either pull the power wires that go to the A/C /blower control from the fuse block or cap the power off and tape it up good. I personally would just eliminate it from the wiring harness completely along with other systems you do not need! In my 70 post sedan we had seperate fuse blocks from Advance auto . We ran a #8 wire to the 2 fuse blocks and wired only what we needed. a huge improvement over using the stock wiring all cobbled up.

I plan on just pulling it out completely. I dont ever plan on this car seeing street duty again. I have pretty much made my own wiring harness with just what I need all with the right gauge wire, also made quick disconnects on wires to the starter for easy starter removal. Brad.

Very nice. I mounted my MSD on the inside of the glove box door and the 2 step right next to it. The fuse blocks were on the pass firewall down by the toe kick area. Really made a clean install . I never did the quick disconnect for the starter as I was worried that it might cause a start problem. great idea though. I am sure a lot of guys are doing it and they probably make very good connectors for that. How about some pics ?

Not sure if I can get pics good enough to show, its already on the car and I dont have a lift. I will try to jack it up. We had to change the starter on the suncoupe on the way to bg in 2001 at a rest stop. Pain in the arse so I started fixing the wires this way. Havent had a problem yet. Brad.

Thats a clean looking setup. Nothing more I hate than to clean up a wiring mess. Brad.

A fdriend and I did that in an afternoon. The only bad thing we did was all the wires were red. I just didnt have enough circuits to really care about changing colors but the next guy might . The trunk mount battery cable was a 0 guage welding wire that we sweated on a cable end . a Ford solenoid
worked very well . I also added a Grant removeable wheel to make it easier to get in ( still have that)
