Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the fuel pump circuit on a '69 Riviera? Trying to get my car running but i don't hear the pump priming when the switch in on.
69 and 70 Rivieras came with electrical fuel pump from the factory. Suprised me but that's the way it is.
Yes, it's a electric pump.:TU: Ask yardley for some info, there is a lot of it on his webpage. http://mywebpages.comcast.net/jholthenrichs Hope you don't mind i did this Jeff:Brow: I have also problems with the pump
Sorry guys...I just tried to scan some pages from my factory service manual and the :blast: scanner died.
I hope you guys know about the access panel through the trunk. Just peel back the carpet in the area above your tank, remove four or five screws from the panel and you're at the spot.
I just thought of something. You probably won't hear the pump running if you have the switch on and there is no oil pressure. If your wiring hasn't been modified the fuel pump will not run without oil pressure.
I read that there's has to be 3psi of oil pressure for it to run. The oil level is full (just did a oil change) but i need to know where to hot lead comes from. tried to check the leads with a test light but no voltage present.
Yes, 1 fuse in the fuse block, and 1 in the motorcompartment, in the drk blue wire. The drk blue wire is just under the wipermotor. Hope you understand the poor English:grin:
There's a 3 amp inline fuse on the firewall just above the windshield washer motor. I can see the wire goes back to the bulkhead connector on one side and to the oil pressure switch on the other but lose it from there.
