I need a wiring diagram for the ignition of a '68 GS 400. I'm trying to put in a new coil and I need to jump the resistor wire. I know where it runs to on the fire wall but I can't find it at the fuse block. Any idea where to find the wiring diagram?

All you need to do is remove the bolt in the middle of the connector at the firewall. Then the front of the connector comes off with all the wires. The wires clip into the connector with barb type clips. Just compress the barb and the resistor wire will pull out from the front of the connector. Then unsolder the clip and attach it to a 14 ga. wire, clip it into the connector, and bolt the connector to the firewall. A wiring diagram will not help you at all, you don't need it. Here is a picture of the barb type clip. I believe NAPA sells these new.

Thanks Larry that's great. That resistor's the only thing holding me up from finishing this ignition.

Something I didn't think of earlier:

Larry is that connector on the outside firewall in the engine bay or the inside firewall behind the dash?

Outside, in the engine compartment, below the brake booster. All the wires from the engine compartment lead into it.
