I'm searching for a wiring diagram for a 1968 Buick Skylark. I've searched online, and all the diagrams I can find are sent via mail only and I'm hoping for one I can download. I'm itching to get some electrical demons out of my ride. Any recommendations for a company that offers a downloadable diagram?

    Thanks,

If you don't already have manuals for your 68, I suggest trying out shop manuals on CD. You can get them here: http://www.1aauto.com/1A/CDManuals/Buick/GranSport I haven't tried the manuals on CD, but have read good reports on them. I have factory manuals already. I could take a digital pic and post it, but I believe the detail would not be very good, in the smaller size required for posting here.

In a pinch? Here is a wiring diagram for the '68-'70 Rivieras from Yardley's awesome website. It may help you :beer

Not quite 100%, but it looks like they use the exact same Engine Harness, and may be enough to get me running again.

I just got the car and am finding some "gremlins", as the thing sat for a couple years before I grabbed it. I started it this morning, planning on driving it in to work as it's a nice sunny day. I stalled it out (electric choke needs replaced). When I went to hit the key, I heard a relay click. Then.... silence. At that point, I not longer get the relay click and NOTHING electrical works in the car. No starter, no joice to the fuses, nada. Checking for current inside the car, I get no voltage at the ignition anywhere. I'm hoping that I can trace this down from the battery forward and find something stupid (liked a burnt relay). Thanks for the links on this, both are helpful.

I'm hopping so... The wiring in this is a bit odd to a guy born during the EFI era. The few older vehicles I've worked on did the power system a bit different (damned dodge's). After seeing that on the diagram, that will be my first point to check tonight when I get home.

Hi Fizzie , if you're interested I have a picture (in two halves I should say) about 1400 x 2100 each that you could print with good quality .

If other 68 guys want it by the same time let drop your e-mail here (or PM )

here's about 1/32 of the full picture i'm talking about

Most definately! I'm trying to find a history on my car, and so far (from the VIN) it looks like it was originally a V6 car. Furthering the clues, it has a powerglide yet runs a 350-4v. From what I am reading, you only got the 350-4v with a t350 right?

Please mail the diagram to fizziesoda@hotmail.com. Thanks a ton!

Also, for the record, the fusable link was corroded ad shorted against the engine block. This has been resolved with a modern style buss fuse block and a couple of 40amp fuses. Thanks for the help on this one!

No V6 in '68. I6, 350 or 400 were the only engines for US larks. The th350 first appeared in the '69 model, so you have a st300 PG.
I'm having a lot of wiring problems myself mostly because of the PO's snatch and grab wiring efforts...can't get the turn signals to work.
