Hello wonderful world of buick lovers, I was wondering if some one on here could provide me with a wireing diagram for my 68 lesabre, i going to be doing a custom stereo install sense thats my typical genre and one option is for me to run all new higher gauge wire to run my audio system, and head unit, the other is to tap the wires of the stock stereo and use those to power my new head unit, can comeone provide me with the diagram for this car?:TU:
The colored schematic, and radio info is printed in a '68 Shop Manual, and will probably have all the detail you need, but it is 11"x17" and way too big to scan. Might be a good time to invest in one ? o No:
Unfortunatly funds are very low with the impending move to minnesota just around the corner cheapest I've found a manual was 150 bones, i have all the audio parts I need from previous installs can you tell me if it is like other gm vehicles where yellow is 12: constant and orange is 12v switched??
It appears to be just the opposite Greg - Yellow is switched 12V, and Orange is constant 12v. A Yellow wire feeds the radio, and the Orange wire feeds the lighter, which is always live with +12vdc. :TU:
