For my car i am looking for the best spot to run an electrical wire through the firewall without drilling a hole ofcourse. Any advise? Thanks.
On the outside, in the engine compartment, look for a plastic tipped thing. They often used them to hold padding and wire looms inside the passenger compartment on the firewall. You can knock the center out of them and they work great for running a wire through the firewall.
Other possibility is to use the rubber grommet for the vacuum lines, depending on year and model. I am not familiar with Riv's, but later A bodies have this.
Go through an unused cavity in the bulkhead connector. It's a little more difficult than drilling a hole, but the wires can be installed inside the loom with the rest of the harness.
I know that I found a nice place where I ran all my cruise control and sniper wiring. It was a little above the engine about 6 " to the DS of dead center.
Steering shaft boot.....run a long flat blade screw driver up next to it to wedge the rubber boot out a little and then slide your wire in next to it... Peace WildBill
