i bought a 67 sky that is a wiring mess, none of the lights work, the fuse box is rusted, i dont know for sure what is good on the fuse box and what is not, some of the guages and dummy lights in the dash work. the wires under the dash are a mess, there are some just dangling with bare ends, some are dangling and spliced with other wires and bare. the only thing i can think of to do is to pull everything out and start from scratch. i have been told that i should get a painless harness, i have noticed some other brands that are cheaper. what is my best option here?

If you trying to keep original your best option is to find someone parting a car and get the wiring from that, or look on EBAY.

If your looking for easy then Painless is probably the way to go, I believe they have everything marked.

I am doing a painless in my 65. So far it is going pretty good. Each wire is marked as to where it should go. The instructions are pretty good and if you have any issues, they have a tech line that is actually manned by PEOPLE. I am pretty happy with the kit so far. I am not done and will post when my car is all done as far as how things turned out with the wiring and all the other things I used.
