Ahh, Ok, I will have to check for that. Thanks.

I think you have 2 problems. #1, the wiper motor is grounded all the time. Second, you wiper motor is only getting 12v+ when you turn the key on. Someone may have rewired it, but the wiper motor should have 12v + all the time. Even if the key is off....

Im not sure its supposed to have constant 12 volts. If it had 12v all the time even with the key out, it would also work with the key out, which it doesnt.

Usually, the 12 volts comes from the key in the ignition on position. When I statedthat the 12 volts was constant, I meant that the control switch controlled a ground, not voltage, as is frequently the case. It is also possible that the wiper coming on by themselves could also be caused by a stray ground in the wiring. When they come on, are they on low or high? Ray

Not sure. I think I have to check one problem at a time. First I need to check the ground. Even if the ignition is on, if the wiper switch is off, the wipers should not run. That's why I think I am shunted to ground somewhere. Either that, or the motor is bad.

I see what you're saying. "If" it's wired that way. Maybe it is not supposed to have 12v with ignition off normally though. :Do No:

I will look tonight for a schematic for this system. I may have a way of determining which wire has what on it. Please describe in detail the set up. Does it have a pulse wiper system? Does it have washers? Are the wipers hidden on retraction or park? You can assume that when the wipers run, there is both voltage and ground on the motor. I also need to know at what speed the wipers run when they come on by themselves. This will assist me to assist you. let me know... Ray
