Hi, I switched on my wipers...all was well until I tried to shut them off. No way. I've now got perma-wipers! I disassembled/cleaned/reassembled the switch but it's still all wiper, all the time. Ghosts in the machine? Jay
i jnow of three possibilities 1) wiper switch ground wire not connected to a clean ground 2) wiper switch is defective 3) there is a piece of metal that sort of looks like a bent finger that has to fly out when the switch is turned off out to catch the wiper mechanism and place the wipers in the park position. if the motor armature spins too slowly, it will not work. believe me i tried two rebuilt wiper motor that had that problem.
