I have a 72 skylark, and i just purchased a new switch, because the previous owner had one from a different vehicle and it was just hanging there. The plug wasn't there and just have the wires cobble in there. Looking at the correct switch from the top, left to right, what is the order of the colored wires? Thanks.

I can help but need to know whether your car has non-hidden park wipers or hidden park wipers.
Easy way to tell is to look at the wiper motor.
Rectangular box sticking out from the firewall indicates non-hidden park.
Round motor hanging from the firewall indicates hidden park.
Wiring at the switch is different between the two.

As above with the switch facing you:
#18 black is switch case ground. Ring terminal with a male tab held on by a mounting screw on the lower LH side of the metal frame. Female terminal connector on the black wire plugs in here.

    #18 Dk. blue/white
    #18 Black/orange
    #18 Lt. blue/black
