I have a newly acquired 70 GS with a badly cracked windshield (amoung other things) I have a friend who is parting out a 68 Chevelle, are these windshields interchangeable? Seems like the basic body is the same. Thank you in advance. Willem NorCal
Willem, looking at my GM windshield interchange table a 68 Chevelle and a 70 Buick GS have different part numbers, so I don't think they will interchange I can give you a list from models that will interchange windshields with a 70 GS...Just let me know

I believe that 1970 was the first year the radio antenna was embedded in the windshield. That might be the only difference from 1968? Anyone know if the fit is the same?

Don't waste your time with an old original...most likely will have "sparkles" and you won't see them until night time with someone coming at you with the headlights on. Call Safelite 1-800-800-ASAP and get a new one. They are only $120 thru a glass service account or $160 to you as retail.
George, That is something I didnt think about, you are absolutely right. I also did not consider the safety issue. I am glad you chimed in, I will go for some new glass. Spent thousands already, why skimp on something as important as safety glass. Willem NorCal
