I have a 71 GS with a drivers side window rattle. It it not so bad when it is up and worse when it is partially open. It looked ok when I took the door panel off but can't tell exactly what is missing or broken - can anyone help?

Check for a loose roller, missing guides, non-secure regulator.

Maybe look at the passenger side and compare for missing guides, etc.
Assuming it doesn't rattle. Or drive it with the door panel off and see if
you can locate the rattle scource. Good luck, rattles can drive you nuts
and are usually easy to fix IF you can find where.

Someone told me to install new window felt - that the window could be rattling because it is not sitting properly in the channel?

You guys are talking about window rattle. My 67 225 has a wobbly regulater in the power window. I can't seem to find a replacement, but I'm not sure it's broken, maybe just needs refastening? Does anybody know anything about this? The glass hangs up on the frame on the way down and can be guided by hand.
