I ordered some for Postons and rec'd them and they are made by PUI. They are all rubber with the chrome on the outside.

First question is my 64 and 67 have the stainless trim that goes on to the outside by the window so I dont think these will work because they have the chrome bead. Is this right?

Second, do they make these with the fuzzy material instead of the rubber on both sides?

    Thanks for any input

Ed, I bought a '66 set a few years ago from CARS in NJ....They have the correct round bead with small rubber lip on the outside, and the fuzzy material on the inside, against the glass. The fuzzy isn't as thick as the originals, tho.
I think you're correct about the chrome bead being incorrect for the cars with the optional window molding....

If your car has the optional belt trim, Steele makes the right part. It's a rubber strip with an molded-in metal band that clips to the inside of the trim - no "fuzzies".

    Ed:
I purchased very good quality window fuzzies thru Car Motor Sports. I needed them for my GS-340. The first set I received were wrong because of the chrome beading. I needed plain black ones because the GS- 340 was based on the Special series. Also, the correct ones had small pointed tabs on the back side, that locked the weatherstrips into the door molding. Alan Faircloth at car motor sports did a top notch job at supplying me with the correct ones, and they look just like the originals. They are manufactured by Re-Pops, and come with a lifetime warranty. their e-mail address is car@carmotorsports.com

Thanks For all the input but

I have these and the rubber with the chrome bead. I have this door trim and need to find out if I need the ones without the chrome bead?

The beaded ones won't work with the aluminum moldings (called belt reveal moldings). I had to make a set for my 69 Sportwagon as no one (to my knowledge) made them. I got a set of no bead universal weatherstrip from Steele Rubber. They had to be custom fit and shaped to fit, but looked good once done.
In order to get the correct shape, the metal in the weatherstrip needed to be slit and then bent into shape. Once the shape was correct, I drilled through the weatherstrip and molding and into the door to attach them by screw. Lowes (or Home Depot) had the correct screws which are flat head tapered sheet metal screws.
The weatherstrip was more of a rubber lip type and not like the original "fuzzies" that were on the car. However, they were VERY close to the lip type used on my 69 GS 400 which are OEM and not "fuzzies". For some reason it looks like GM used 2 types in production. My 67 GS has fuzzies along with the 69 Sportwagon, yet the 69 GS used a rubber lip type.
Am pretty sure that Steele Rubber listed weatherstrips for the 67 GS with the belt reveal molding. I think they referred to them as "wide aluminum" moldings.
I am happy with their products so far.
    Hope this helps,

    Thanks Mark

I will have to check to see if they are the same for convertibles. I see Year One list different numbers for hard top and convertible?

    Thanks Again :TU:

I checked their web site and they list the rubber and original type for 64 but not with the SPEC. molding like the 67 cars.

ANybody else have any ideas or past experience? I will try to call them tomorrow.
    Thanks

I hate to bring this back up, but I need a set of window fuzzies for a 68 GS400 Convertible. I do have the trim on the outside of the windows. I have 2 sets right now, 1 that I bought and 1 that came with the car. Both have the chrome bead on the fuzzies. Who make a good set that will fit. I know Year One lists a set without the chrome, but says they are "An inexpensive replacement for use on a car where absolutely correct appearance is not necessary." So, do they look like sh*t?

call this distributor and find out what part number you need

and then order them through Postons. I ordered some through them and they were the ones with the chrome bead. I call PUI and he gave me the part number to give to Postons and they ordered them and I returned the others.

    http://www.pui.cc/

My set have the fuzzie inside and rubber on the outside. They fit perfect with all the tabs and screws are included.
    Good Luck
