I was just in Advance Auto Parts tonight and they had a set of Accel 8.8mm plug wires sitting on the clearance table. The guy working there said they were for a sbc with points dist. I said I wonder if they would work in my Buick but he didn't know for sure. I couldn't resist, they were $68 and he sold them to me for $12 just to get rid of them. After looking at them, they look like they fit an HEI dist. but the instructions and box show them on a points dist. with posts that look like an HEI. So, is there another aftermarket points dist. cap I can put on my current points dist. to make these wires work or should I send them to eBay? Thanks. MARK
mallory makes a cap and rotor to convert...ps they wont fit..forgot...since the buick dist...is slanted towards the right....a couple wires have to be much longer to fit the other side...ebay then.... :TU:
I'm not familiar with Accel, but I know MSD makes the ends for HEI that you can buy seperately. Trim off the old ends and slap em on! C.J.
