Thanks for all your information. I appreciate your honesty. I may be going to look at one this weekend. We'll see what happens. I know these cars are expensive, but I'm not looking for a perfect car. I just want one thats all their. We'll just have to wait and see.

    Erik,

There was a Parklane Turnpike Cruiser in 1959. It did exist. My great uncle bought it new, passed it to his brother and then to his son. (my uncle) He lives in Virginia and the owners manual etc. is in Conn. with his divorced wife. I'm seeing him in 9 days. I will try to get some photos of the car. Trust me, it existed.

    Rob,

We were going over this in the other thread, I did a lot of scanning and research for you. Other board members joined in and all said that there was not such a car. You prommised to scan a photo, and 1 year later we are back at the start.

So please show us that photo and a scan of the owners manual, saying 1959 Parklane Turnpike Cruiser on the cover :Dou:

Make sure you also take a photo of the VIN and the Body Number Plate.....

Nope, as I said before my great uncle bought it new and has told my uncle and grandfather that its just as how he got it. I believe the color was "twlight turquoise." It was a 4-door and my uncle repainted in the early 70's. I shall right to Mercury again. :Smarty:
