    might b a stupid Q
scrapping my 305ci 79 malibu, seeing if things r worth keeping on it
...will its dizzy work on my 71 lark?
...are the dizzy HEI plugs-in/wiring the same?
    ...spark plug wires/coil?
...is the wheel bolt pattern the same?
...malibu alt. work on a 455 lark?
...anything else u can think of?

Wheels have the same bolt pattern.

    Dist-no
Alt-no (your's should have an external regulator)
    Plug wires-no
Wiring-no (yours didn't come with an hei dist.)

    Not much works.
    Rear gears will work.
Tranny might work if it's got the dual bolt pattern.
Don't know for sure but the wiper motor might work.
    Possibly the brake booster.
I have never worked on that model Malibu so I don't know for sure on some other stuff.

  3. isnt a stock 79 malibu rear a 7.5 and a 71 skylark an 8.5? They wont interchange

You probably are right. I wasn't thinking about what year it really was. Still worth keeping if it's got a good gear.

The Chevy HEI Distributor will not fit in the Buick motor. The shaft of a chevy dist. is 3-4" longer than a buick's.
