Will Buick 350 oil pump idle pressure increase

    If the oil filter housing is worn, it can help by providing a fresh and more durable mating surface for the ends of the gears.. Be prepared to check for gear end clearance during setup.

    If you have low oil pressure for other reasons (worn engine bearings, scored front cover or gears) it may not help as much as you'd like...but it's a step in the right direction no matter what.

    the light on my 350 kept coming on at about 3/4 temp when idling so I put the TA booster plate kit in. I forgot to check actual psi before I did it but after I had 25-30 at idle and 50-60 at higher rpm. A week later the sender went bad so more than likely that was the prob the whole time but my psi is better than the 10psi per 1000rpm rule most buicks can barely achieve makes me feel better knowing i'm not idling at 6-10psi like most stock pumps only cost about 35 I think and was easy to install

    can someone explain how to check the clearance with the gears i might do this install and thats all that confuses me :puzzled:
