Like the title says; will a Delco PG260F2 starter work on a 455?

I've got one (that's what I believe it is based on internet searching), it came off a 2000 Ch*vy Silverado 1500 w/ 5.3L engine. Its brushes are worn, but otherwise looks good.

My 455 has a decent original-type starter, but if this would fit and I can pick up a brush holder for it, that'd be a great upgrade.

    Anybody know?

Looks like you are a pioneer. Does the bolt pattern match up? There's two ways to see if this works, unfortunately, the first doesn't appear to be working.

I'm curious as well. Good luck.

    I'm with you...5.3 liter what???

I'm confused by what you mean by staggered bolts? This ch*vy starter uses two long bolts, but they're side by side (well, not *right* side by side), each same distance fore / aft. Or is there another way they're staggered that I'm not seeing?

Guess I'm going to have to crawl under there and look after all...dang, there ain't much room down there...
