Will 65 Wildcat Rear End Fit In 68 Cat?

    I Know They Both Are B Body Cars. Obviously They Are Different Years. However, They Seem To Be About The Same Width. Anyone
    Got Any Info. For Me.

    I have never actually tried it and I have never had one of each laying side by side to compare mounting location measurements.
    I doubt it and would be surprised if it could actually be done.
    '65 was the lat year for the front drop out style housing (shown in the first picture below).
    Starting with the 66 models, Buick switched to the rear cover type housing (like the one in the second photo).
    You could get an indication of compatibility by checking the 1965 and 1966 Buick parts catalogs to see if the rear u-joints, and probably the yokes as well, are listed with the same or different part numbers.
    At least you'll know whether or not the drive shaft needs to be swapped out too.

    I Have The Motor(430), Tranny(400th) And Posi Rear End. Heck! I Have The Whole Car. Is There Anyway I Can Get This Stuff Out Of My 68 Wildcat And Into My 65 Wildcat Convertible?
