will 215 70 r14 tires fit a 68 skylark

    i have a set of 14x6 wheels jj stamped and am looking to put new tires on them
    the only 205/70/r14 (size on car now) tires i can find available seem to be economy tires but i can get 215/70/r14 firestone tires easily,
    what i would like to know is will they fit without rubbing

    u should be able to fit 225r70x14 tires.

    I have 215/70/14 on my '68 Conv, Those Firestones are World better then the outdated junky bfg also...

    then thats what i'll get i have wide track radial gt's on now but the date code shows them being over ten years old and i don't trust them anymore
