Mark: I don't need the wheel, but I won't let it go cheap......or the orphaned horn cap with the black background tri-shield. Rick (sorry-sold!)
Rick, I cant let it go cheap, I paid quite a bit to get it. The horn cap, that was a salvage attempt on a bad Rivi part. It will look good on a nice driver, and only a purist will know the difference. Thanks for the bids, let's see what happens ray:
If it doesn't sell, would you take cash + a nice '65 Riv Center Cap in trade so you can keep a complete wheel? I've got a tri-shield center, but would like a nicer one.
Mark: What happened on the steering wheel auction? I got an email from ebay saying the auction was "cancelled"? I saw that the auction ended with a bid over a $1,000 and the reserve was met. o No: Rick
The bidding ended at $1100+ . The high bidder that sniped the auction comes back later and says "someone" used her e-bay and sniping account. Hmmm. Should have known, only 2 feedbacks on the account. Next auction, I think I will set a level of no bidding if less than 10 feedbacks. Basically, she bid and she cant pay so she blamed it on some body else. ou: E-bay decided to cancel and remove everything as a precaution. Good thing is, I didnt have to pay for the auction The fellow that bought the 68 wood wheel from a different aution had asked, that if for some reason the sale didnt go thru, could he buy that wheel as well. I emailed him that it is available. He called me last night to let me know he would take it. Ultimately, it did get sold, just in a round about way. At that kind of price, maybe I need to take a couple off the other cars, and replace them with the $10 plastic wheels.
