Back in '77 I was going to school at what was called a "suitcase college", everyone went home for the weekends. I had a '69 Wildcat with a 430 4bbl, whitewalls and hubcaps, not too cool in those days but boy did it run! I had added a full length dual exhaust with Walker Continental glasspacks. The 2nd gear kickdown switch was adjusted to coincide with the spreadbore opening up and it would get sideways at 50 mph when punched! One sunday afternoon as I was heading back I saw a gold Trans Am come up behind me, then move around to pass, as it came up alongside I recognized the driver, Sue had got her T/A she had been dreaming about! She gave me a wave and took off, we were going about 55 since it was heavily enforced back then. I decided not to let her get off easy and punched it also.I caught up easily and passed her going about 70, she punched it again and when we were even I got on it and left her again, going about 90 now. She gave it one more try and I shut her down again. Running out of road now so we slowed back to a reasonable speed.
I never let her forget that, we are still Facebook friends today.
