Wildcat Electra Wood Wheel Rare Tri-Shield Horn Cap

Not mine. This is a pretty rare horn cap and it looks to be in pretty good shape. This is the one you would order if you wanted the optional wood wheel for an Electra or Wildcat.

I looked for my Tri-Shield horn cap for years and I know Mark has been looking for a while too. That setup in that shape is WORTH the $925. I'd bet it would bid up to that even if it had the more common -R- cap. I know its crazy.

Here is one for $860 all pitted up with the -R- cap. I think I've only seen 4 of the Tri-Shields with the correct silver background. There are some made-up from the 70's wheel center cap inserts that are black backgrounds.

I had the fortune of being able to buy one of these wheels at a BOP show in OldTown,Kissimmee a few years ago. It was just the wheel,in excellent shape,with no hub or hornbar. After looking at a GTO wood wheel that was priced at 650., and thinking ,THAT's outrageous,I ran across the vendor that I bought the wheel from. I picked up the wheel and looked it over.I asked the price,guy says "Two". I was thinking $200.,which I was willing to pay.But,I had to try him and see if he would take less. I asked "Two?",and he replied"Yeah,two dollars,Is that too much?" Need I say more?! Apparently,the vendor didn't know about Ebay or the desirability of the wheel. Lucky for me.
