Turning this over to the real tire experts here.
Looking for wide whites for my 36 and having same problem with Coker and Diamondback as I want to go with big & little Approx 26" dia on front 15" x 7" rims and approx 29" dia on rear 15" x 8" rims. The problem is finding a matched set for front and rear seams like the 26's are for one type of car and 29's for another. If I do find a match its wider than the 9.5 section width I can use or its tread width is narrower than what I want.
I found a Diamondback MX which is a Michelin Defender tire 205/70 R15 which fits for the front and a Michelin LTX MS2 P235/75 R15 which will work for the rear which when comparing in store look to be very similar in tread design and rubber compound makeup. Diamondback said they would custom make the LTX into a whitewall and mentioned it was a light truck tire.
I had other concerns about Diamondbacks process voiding Michelin warranty and called Michelin to discuss and got around to mixing the Defender (front )with the LTX MS2 , Their tire expert emailed back (no one calls anymore so you can't discuss) and said the two were not compatable because the LTX MS2 is a light truck tire.
With my limited knowledge I'm asking what difference does that make appears once you get to that size (235/75 R15) they are all for light truck or SUV. Does that make the tire handle different. Your comments and help appreciated.
    Thanks
    Al T.

After further responses from Michelin warning of potential handling issues from mixing different tread patterns I headed out to a few local shows and inspected the Coker whitewalls and Diamondbacks. Decided on the Coker's based on what I saw to be a better looking tire with a more finished appearance at edge of whitewall. Did have to make some compromise in size but delivered in two days and look great.
