Wonder why his bidder didn't pay!ou: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970...ryZ16124QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
4 reasons I am guessing... 1.Olds motor 2.Ugly wheels/interior 3.Nasty looking height 4.When his wife seen it No Way Pal...
Re: Why??e Looks like some nice work to make the poor thing so ugly. I like some things about the interior, the body looks really straight with well applied paint and the seats would be nice in a different color. So lets see, sell the wheels for ??? dye the interior, pull the Olds and sell to some fool in "the other bench" drop in my spare 455 and have a nice Skylark. Wish I had a few more spare dollars and try a low ball bid on it.
Wheels are easy to change and I've always been a sucker for "No-Sale Green". :Brow: Also, I'm not offended by the interior; custom console, two-tone dash and not the same typical "repro" seat covers. Olds engine(?), doesn't seem any stranger than a '56 Nail-head in a Model T Ford. I guess I step to the beat of a different drummer. $12,000 does, however, seem a little high. o No: JMHO
Relisting due to non-paying Bidder? Possibly the Seller or a friend tried to bid-up the final price or generate some interest. I would be curious to know if the Seller pursued the last "winning" bidder?
$8000 of the price is just for rims and tires id bet Though they are easily sold since its the small bolt pattern.
