I really feel sorry for this Pontiac. ou: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1981...0093307870QQcategoryZ6417QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
A 4 door no less. LOL Are the rear doors gullwing too? uzzled: Notice the great attention to detail under the hood. That hood bulge really had "me" fooled. I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but what a waste of a 4 door Pontiac. At least make it 4WD if it's gonna be six feet off the ground.
Different strokes for different folks, . . . but what a waste of time, effort and mega $, not to mention the Pontiac ! ! ! Can you say - butt ugly ? :moonu: :moonu: :moonu: :TU:
According to his listing he spent $30,400 on this creation, including $2,000 for an olds 307. We all know what a wonderfully powerful and technologically advanced engine the 307 is. Have a look at the custom made iron railing steering bar! now that's custom work. With that much tire to control I'm sure bump steer adds a lot to the driving excitement.
Yuk. Though I think gull-wing doors are cool, they don't seem to "fit" on a 4-door. The interior could do without the crushed velour, but is otherwise tasteful. It does look like a clean body.
I see the car matches the house in the background. I wonder what the inside of that house looks like?ou:
O.K. gentlemen, this car proves there is a reason we like and care for old Buicks like we do. Coincidentally (unfortunately), I had to educate myself on this latest customization trend from the 'hood' settling a claim recently for work ... it is called 'DONK' or 'DONKIN' and, unfortunately, it will probably be coming to your town soon, too. This nonsensical and cartoonish custom trend appears to be the response from the 'hood' to the low-riders and other custom vehicle trends out there. Although this example is extreme (do 'ya think?), coil spring suspensions are the easiest to modify this way ... and GM made more coil sprung cars than anyone else. eBay even has listings for suspension kits to customize like this. I don't know what I would do if I saw a real GS customized this way ...
Hmm, $30K invested, Buy It Now price $18K? Should have spent 5 bucks on Investments For Dummies instead.
the guy actually spent $2k on a 307 oldsmoslug :error: ou: ????? gee,I'd sell the guy the 307 shortblock in My shed for $1000  to quote a line from the movie...."you can't drive that piece of $#*t on my highway"
Ole Jackie is spinning in his grave right now.Take that back!!!  30k and didn't spend a few quarters at the car wash to clean the engine bay:spank: .I've been accosted with a few offers for my car:af: ,it will never happen:TU: .
There was a guy around here who had a Monte SS on a K5 frame or something. looked cool. That poor pontiac. Don't know whats worse, the Donk, or the fact is has a 307? ou:
