Man, that car gets worse every time I look at it!:spank: Someone tell him to yank his $5,000 motor out and sell it to a Pontiac guy, and sell the rest off...if he can that is. It kills me what people think they can get out of cars sometimes!
Cummon Jarrod. Ya mean you dont like those coooool flames :bglasses: There is only one description for this ride BUTT UGLY :moonu: :moonu: :moonu: :moonu: :moonu: Did you see his other auction? Here it is http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=34204&item=2488303743&rd=1 Now I dont know all the particulars but my understanding is that Sport wagons have 11 bars in the grille and passenger cars have 8. This one has 11 and he says its for his Skylark GSo No:
I found the grill listing earlier this afternoon. I was going to email him, then noticed the flamed Skylark. I laughed and said it wouldn't matter cause this guy wouldn't change the description anyways. HE KNOWS THEM GRILLS IS ALL THE SAME ANYWHO, I mean they all bolt in the same, right? Who cares if it looks wrong!ou: I just hope nobody bids on the stupid thing thinking it's a GS grill.
I've got a daily driver "WHOOOOOPTEY" that would put that $8,500 P-O-S to shame!!!!!!!!!!! This "SPECIAL EDITION CITY (survivor) 'VETTE" IS FOR SALE...........$45,000 or best offer !!!!!!!!
Specman : i bet that the winner of that Chevelle will be dissapointed. And "WHY" haven't you bought that beautiful GS grille yet ? $450 he's gotta know what he's talking about, RIGHT! o No: What a joke .
It looks like him and his buddies down at the body shop painted the car, drank a case of beer then stood back and said, "That's a ten thousand dollar paint job... Buuurrrrp!"
I am new to this forum, but when I saw this one I just had to respond. What is this person thinkin' (smokin')? That kindof money for a butchered Buick? That must mean my Rivi is worth alot more than I thought !!:Brow:
Thanks for the welcome. I have already gotten a few chuckles out of some the "interesting" content so far. I look forward to participating more in the future. I have had this Riv since '93 and threw a number 7 in the original engine, so I had parked it with the intention of doing a complete restore. I disassembled the front of the car completely (that's the reason for the rear shot on my avator) in 1995 and it has sat stored inside every since. I just got the bug again and have started playing with it again. After discovering this board and reading a little on all of the topics I have discovered that I have a factory posi with a 3.42 in the rear, so that has got me a little excited about gettin' this thing going again. I am not really new to the Buick, this is my second Rivi actually. I had another '72 that I had got in '83 and it was my daily driver until 90 when it got "T" boned by a careless alcoholic in Dallas when I lived there. :ball: So, I parked it and later found this one in '93 for only $500.00 with a knocking rod. I knew it was only a matter of time and, sure enough it through number 7. I got another engine from a junk yard in Idaho back in '95 complete, pulled and shipped for $200.00!! Hell of a deal, huh? The engine was out of a '71 Electra and the block is in excellent condition, can't even hardly feel a ridge at the top of the cylinders. I took it apart when I disassembled the front of the car in '95 and it too has just sat until now. I am ready to get back to this, and the more I read this board and the forums on it, the more motivated I become to get my "Vette on steroids" running again. Sorry to be so long with this post, but that's my introduciton. I look forward to more of this board and it's information.
Speed secrets revealed! Is it my imagination, or is the air cleaner lid actually the bottom from another cleaner?
I think you are correct :TU: but he obviously uses it to suck in the extra air flowing from where the inner wheel wells should be :spank:
Hey, It's OK. After all.................... it's a Pontiac  Is anybody here old enough to remember what P-O-N-T-I-A-C stands for?
