Ok I have to mention this first, prior to getting my carb rebuilt, I was able to roll down my windows (power windows) without a problem.

AFTER I install my freshly rebuilt carb and put the car in Reverse or Drive, and push the button to roll down the power windows, the car starts to die then just dies.

Why is this happening now when it never happened before?

This is an electrical issue. Duh! First, you need to determine whether the issue is one of ground, or voltage. The common voltage, is the one coming from the ignition switch. A defective ground, say from the engine to the battery may force ecxessive current through a body ground. I do not think this is related to the carb, but determining whether it is one of ground or voltage should be fairly easy to determine. With the engine runnnnning, try opetrating the windows with a volt meter connected between the battery ground and the body, and the engine and ground. Then check between the body and the engine. Any voltage exceeding .8 volts needs to be investigated. Let's start with the ground and go from there. Easy troubleshooting, easy fix. Just be systematic. Ray
