I understand it is supposed to warn of overheating issues, but this sucker blinks for about 5 minutes then stops. Sometimes it is still blinking before I get to my destination. o No:
The switch going bad on the equalizer block? Try unpluging the brown wire at the block and see if the light stays out. How does the brakes hold? The pedal does not slowly go to the floor while holding?
Thanks Mike. Where is the "equalizer block"? That's a tern I've never heard before. Brakes are fine, need to be bled though that light is on as well...ou:
The "block" I am talking about is mounted on the frame under the driver's door. If you have air in the line, it will also cause the light to come on. Need to bleed the brakes.
Good thing I bought a one man bleeder and vacuum tool this week. I thought the "stop" light had nothing to do with the brakes though. Learn something new every day I guess.:beer
this is on your 71 right? then you are correct that this is the cyl head overheat light, I'm thinking something is grounding on the wire causing the light to flicker. Mike is thinking it is your "brake" light flickering but the light you are talking about is right next to the "hot" light, correct?
