Is it the blue with white car? If so, the description states it was just finished in August. I have seen it on ebay several times this fall and winter and noticed it not making reserve. Looks like a very nice car and I too wonder why it doesn't make reserve.

I think the reserve is $73K  that is a lot of money to most folks! Pete

    Just Wondering

Is the grille the wrong color and if so what else is wrong?

It is in the above link. We can beat up on this car and point to imperfections like has been done so many times to other cars on this board, or we can say that it appears to be a very nice car. I choose the positive side of it since I see too many very nice cars get slaughtered on here. I have yet to see the perfect 100% resto. Maybe high 90%'s, but not perfect.
Anyway, if the reserve is in the $70k range, I understand a little more now why it hasn't sold. That's a chunk of change!

    not bad price

I don't think the price is bad for 1of 15 4 speed cars in fully restored condition, but rather the guy's honesty in the first few times it was listed did him in for getting max dollar. He said the car was a complete rust out and had to be put back together with two donor cars. He stated the car's small imperfections and was generally honest , a nice touch as far as that goes but it did hurt his sale. I would take the car in a heart beat myself as i know many here would aswell. bill

Aint this the one that was buried in dirt with daisy's growing trought the center of her? There was a big stink about the car when it was sold for 2k than flipped for 10 k on epay or something of this sort .

Other them the the grill being incorrectly painted and missing a inside rear view mirror it looks to be a nice car. If its in the $70K range and is put together well buy a quility minded shop then it would be a good car to bid on but for that kind on money you need to go out there and see this in person, AL.

Bill is right on the money here. I too would take the car in a heartbeat.

If it is all true, for how the car was restored. What he has in the car, Can't be much of a profit. Or maybe he just trying to break even. I personally can't pick it apart, It's a Buick.

I have an original 72 Stage1 4 speed convertible with 48,000 miles. All numbers match with build sheet and Sloan documents. Recently detailed from front to back. Burnished copper with tan top and saddle interior. It can be bought for the same $.

    Seller is REALLY honest

I spoke with seller when car was first listed. He didn't hide anything. Welcomed a personal inspection. He mentioned the paint was burned through while being rubbed out , and the fact that the fenders don't line up as well as he'd like. If those were easy fixes , wouldn't you just fix them before listing the car ? If you want a perfect car , then you're paying alot of money for one that needs paint and body work. His first listing Buy it Now was quite a bit more than it was on his last. I think the "other" 72 Stage 1 (129k ) got him thinking this is close , so see what the market is. In reality , it's not original sheetmetal or one owner rust free creme puff. I'd love it , too , but for that money , it better at least have correct alignment on the fenders and really nice paint. Just my two cents.
