Why are these special?

    Actually there is a gain over the stamped steel rockers. I proved it years ago changed my stamped steel rockers and shaft assemblies at the track and put on NOS 70 assemblies. Picked up .10 sec if my memory serves me. :Dou: :beer

    Aren't stamped steel 1.55:1 while aluminums are 1.60:1? :puzzled:

    I would be suspisious of the alum rockers/shafts. If wear did start it was usually not bad due to the aluminum on steel wear issues.

    Some did last ok IF oil was changed regularly. Any sludge in the pushrods and they starved for oil. The NOS ones that I used were fine even with pretty high spring pressues but they were over maintained.
